Karate

Hanshi Culp established a style of free movement Martial Arts in 1981 called Shizen- Do, which means “the Natural Way”. This unique approach to Martial Arts training combines practical self-defense techniques with the natural flow of mind and body. This makes a flexible style that allows all students to express themselves and personalize their movements.

From white belt level, students are taught the importance of a strong Martial Art’s foundation with focus on: stances, punches, kicks, block’s & foot maneuvers. Much time is spent on open training were students are challenged with random attacks and must work their way free with personal improvisation, seeking the true meaning of a artist; self expression.

KIDS CLASSES:
Karate is very important when taught to youth in a constructive and well-supervised environment. We show kids how to focus their energies into productive routines that build the mind, body and spirit in a positive way. Karate provides an environment where they can lay aside distractions and be at peace among their peers and others. Our martial arts program centers on self-discipline, focus and self-confidence. The physical activity aspect will also help with their overall fitness. Specially coordinated activities will build teamwork skills and increase their overall leadership skills, helping them become mentally stronger and more confident young adults.

Jiu Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling-based martial art whose central theme is the skill of controlling a resisting opponent in ways that force them to submit. Due to the fact that control is generally easier on the ground than in a standing position, much of the technique of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is centered around the skill of taking an opponent down to the ground and wrestling for dominant control positions from where the opponent can be rendered harmless.

Kickboxing

Muay Thai, or literally Thai Boxing, is a combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This discipline is known as the “art of eight limbs” as it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins. Our classes focus on arm and leg strikes through consistency, pad work, combinations, tempo, and most importantly safety. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner we will have a tailored program to fit your style and training regimen.

If you want something more than a workout…. COME RIDE WITH US!

When you arrive:

Please arrive 15 minutes before your class starts. A rushed set-up is no fun.

  • Once you get there, introduce yourself to someone at the facility.
  • They’ll show you around the space including the changing rooms, bathrooms, lockers, the works!
  • They’ll also help you set-up your bike’s height, handlebars, clip-in your shoes, set you up with water, sign the rider waiver, and anything else you may need for your ride. You have to worry about nothing.
  • Please feel free to ask as many questions as you want, we love answering them.

What to wear:

Honestly, wear whatever you want, just get ready to get sweaty!

We recommend going with your favorite workout gear that makes you feel good. A t-shirt and shorts or a sports bra/top and form fitting leggings or shorts that stay out of the way of moving pedals. For our rides, you’ll need cycling shoes that are Look Delta clip or SPD clip compatible for the class.

What to expect:

We ride to the beat of the music—but feel free to sit down, take a break, chill out if you want to. Remember this is your ride. The playlists are curated by our instructors individually for each class. No two rides are ever the same.

Our class usually begins with a warm-up, then we move on to climbs and sprints, refocus with a weight series, chase one final cardio push, and end with a restorative stretch. Our classes feel a lot like a dance party. It’s upbeat music, sweaty and fun.
